Cobbs
Cobbs Lake is...
Five hundred and forty acres of unspoiled lake and forest lands with a forty-five acre lake, several ponds, trout streams and hundreds of acres of rolling woodland.
Water power ruled the day and water mills were the heart of industry in Milford’s early years. Saw mills, grist mills helped to produce paper, pasteboard, animal feed, corn meal and flour all along Sawmill Creek in Milford. The Upper Mill still maintains a working water wheel and some of the equipment used to run the mill in its hayday.
COBBS LAKE PRESERVE is located in Wayne County, Pennsylvania, on Route 191 between Lake Ariel and Honesdale, a few minutes north of Interstate 84.
Only 140 members/owners will share the five hundred forty acre lake and forest preserve.
The planning and placement of building parcels provide each with access to a preserve road and trail that meander quietly between all sites. No one parcel touches any other parcel; most parcels vary in size from one-half to one acre.
Roam miles and miles of trails along streams and through serene forest.
The lake offers excellent fishing as do the streams for native trout. The larger of the ponds is heavily stocked for youngsters twelve and under.
The half-mile entrance road provides desired seclusion but the Preserve is only 7 miles to a shopping mall, hospital and professional services in nearby Honesdale.
