Real Estate Agent
Hey, I'm Will! Here's a quick history on me. Like my parents and grandparents before me, I grew up in the Hawley/Lake Wallenpaupack/Lake Ariel region. Wallenpaupack Area School District is my high school alma mater and I still have close ties to the district. My mother, is a 5th grade teacher and I'm active as a coach in my boys youth baseball and soccer teams.
I started real estate after graduation from Penn State University and the Smeal College of Business. There, I received my degree in accounting and a minor in The Legal Environment of Business, but I really excelled in my real estate coursework which included: urban real estate; economic forces affecting property rights; real estate markets and finance; land-use analysis; government policies, historical performance, land use issues, market valuation, real estate development, and public policy issues.
In the summer of 2008, I completed my pre-licensure course work at the Pennsylvania Real Estate Academy and obtained my sales-person license shortly thereafter. In February of 2009 I teamed up with Re/Max of Lake Wallenpaupack North where I was provided with extensive knowledge of the business as well as a wealth of knowledge of the local area. I later joined the experts at Davis R. Chant Realtors in late 2010 to further my real estate career and now deal in residential and commercial sales, commercial leases, and even some vacation rentals in the Lake Wallenpaupack area.
I come from a long line of builders, including my father, Peter Clauss owner of Clauss Construction. My life long experience working in the construction industry in both the field and office has extended my knowledge of the overall real estate business, and provided me with a great understanding of home sales in general.
Currently, I sit on the board as a director of the Pike Wayne Association of Realtors, am an appointed member of the Pennsylvania Association of Realtors' legislative committee and also sit on the Pike County Scenic & Rural Character Preservation board.
In addition to loving being able to help buyers find their dream homes, and sellers cash in on the biggest investment, I enjoy a number of things from playing music, to tinkering with technology and even am starting to mess around with quad-copters or drones. I love our local restaurants and attractions, and couldn't imagine living anywhere else! I really look forward to working with you and creating lifelong friendships in this business is my favorite part of being a Realtor.
