Hello and thank you for taking the time to learn more about me and why I should be your Realtor.
My family moved to Lake Wallenpaupack when I was only two years old. They were searching for the ideal place to raise their family. They found it! I enjoyed growing up at the lake taking full advantage of everything the area had to offer, especially the lake. I grew up skiing, playing golf, tennis; hockey, boating, swimming, and fishing just to name a few. Any outdoor activity you can think of is available right here at the lake!
After graduating from King's college with a dual major in marketing and business, I went directly into real estate. This was a natural for me because of my enthusiasm and knowledge of the area. I worked in an appraiser's office while studying to take the real estate test. The knowledge I gained there gave me a solid foundation for understanding values and appraisals. I got my sales persons license in 1986 and quickly became successful. When the RE/MAX concept came to Northeast Pennsylvania, I was the 1st agent to join. I knew it would be the path to greater success and I could serve my customers and clients better within this system. Recently the Re/max office closed and the obvious next step for me would be to join the Chant organization. Chant is by far the biggest and most successful Real estate company in the lake region.
In the early part of my career, I would sometimes act as a caretaker for my clients homes. I would make a series of small improvements to the homes as I was marketing them. These improvements would increase the chances of getting a sale. I was amazed at how well this worked! Today I have my own staging business as a direct result of these transactions.(See Seller's tips). During this period of moving from house to house enabled me to learn about different areas of the lake first hand. I have lived in and/or owned property in: Sandy Shore, Paradise Point, Lakeland Colony, Boulder point, New Salem, Woodmont Heights, Indian Rocks, Tanglwood Lakes, Tanglwood North, Rockledge, Woodland Hills and Ruffed Grouse Ridge. It is during this time my colleagues gave me the nickname "Mr. Lakefront."
I eventually married and had two children, Michael and Jenna. Today they are enjoying the same benefits of our lake area just as I did growing up.
During my 30 year career as a Realtor, I have earned some very prestigious awards such as membership to the Re/max Hall of Fame, The Chairman's Club and most recently The Lifetime Achievement Award. Re/max gives these top awards to their most successful sales agents! I have also been the top agent at the Chant office multiple times.
